Dustin Kern was the point-man for Rottlund Homes on the RiversPointe project in the City of Anoka. This declining residential area near downtown was subject to flooding by the Rum River. Today it is an attractive neighborhood occupied by 58 craftsman style town homes, a river-front historical park and boat launch with dock.

Dustin did a great job working with the City throughout the redevelopment process. He participated in community and neighborhood meetings before a developer was selected. He submitted a winning proposal. He hammered out a plan to transform this area and eliminate flooding. He guided the infrastructure replacement and kept construction on track. It was Dustin's vision and persistence in partnership with the City that made this project a reality.

Dustin was the project manager for the Spring Lake Estates development. Mary and I own the property adjacent to the original plat for the development. Dustin recognized the potential of adding some of our property to the development. He formulated and presented a very fair offer. This included overseeing everything from offer, acceptance, abstract filings, annexation of the property, city planning meetings and more.
